Case Study
Hamner Wedding Reception
This event encompassed a few of the services we provide. The wedding reception took place in a 50’ x 80’ tent on the side of the bride’s parent’s home. The slope of the yard was so great that we were called in to install a 52’ x 84’ tent floor using stage panels. In one corner, the floor was 72” off the ground.
We also had to install the stage for the band, which was 24” higher than the tent floor. That put the back of the stage around 96” off the ground.
As for lighting, the designer wanted a combination of Tent Accent Lighting, Oriental Lanterns and Pinspots. As you can see in the picture, we also had to work around the fabric draping that was being installed. The accent lighting fixtures were installed on the tent frame behind the fabric, which illuminated the fabric draping all the way to the peak of the tent. For color, we used a pale amber gel.
The Oriental Lanterns were hung in groupings of three and four lanterns per group throughout the tent. Over the dance floor, the main grouping consisted of five lanterns. We were also asked to Pinspot the bars and floral displays that were placed around the tent.
On this event, we also supplied two generators, an electrical distribution system and lighting for the 20’ x 90’ pre-function tent. The total install time came to five days.
